Profile and Entrepreneurial Literacy among Former Prisoners in Malaysia

This study is carried out with the objective of identifying profile and entrepreneurship literacy among former inmates in Malaysia. was conducted using a quantitative cross-sectional survey design. A total 354 prisoners who have been released from detention but are still under supervision Malaysian Prisons Department (JPM) selected as respondents to study. Results shows that majority took part those between age 31 years old until 40 (40.4 percent), Malays (78.8 Muslim (86.4 percent) mostly men (93 not married (53.1 percent). Moreover, their education level at SPM (42.7 were employed before they imprisoned (88.1 also income earned by most respondent imprisonment B40 specifically B1 category which amount RM2,500 month (72.9 on interest towards interested doing business (59.6 even though them never involved any (66 family members (62.1 nor ever taking course (87 Descriptive analysis found high (55.6 Only 1.2 percent very low rest moderate (43.2 The implication this would help organization provides assistance hope giving equal opportunity integrate into community begin new life after sentence prison.
